Changing Your Feedburner Email Delivery Timings - Illustrated

Today, an average person might receive close to a hundred emails every day. In this scenario you wouldn't want your email to get lost in a sea of other emails and remain undetected in a subscriber's mailbox. Herein lies the importance of scheduling your emails - to reach a person at the time when he is likely to be "most active". This greatly magnifies the chances of your emails being seen and read.

Ideally you would want your email to be there - right at the top when a person visits his inbox for the first time in the morning.

In this post we will discuss how you can change your Feedburner email delivery timings.

Step 1: Log in to your Google Feedburner account. Next click on the desired feed.

Step 2: Click on the "Publicize" tab.

Step 3: On the left sidebar click "Email Subscriptions". Next select "Delivery Options"

Step 4: On the page that opens you will find an option to change your email delivery timings. To change the delivery timings "select the desired timezone" from the drop-down menu and then "schedule your delivery timings".

Once you have selected your desired delivery timing, click on "Save" and the changes will take effect from the next time your feed is updated.

The Great SMS Android Swindle

Cyber crime is nothing new but now smart phones have become premium targets for malicious criminals. They are attractive to cyber criminals because of the data that they contain, and the services they provide particularly the payment processing services. They also are often much less secure than computers and laptops.  In the last week Google removed over 22 apps from the android marketplace and suspended the developer accounts. Android users in Europe should be wary as some apps on the market are more sinister than they appear to be at first glance. These apps are capable of sending premium SMS messages without the mobile users being aware. The attack has been centered around European users, who do not realise that they may be charged upto $5 per SMS. The apps being developed and made available for download are being disguised as popular and authentic games or add-ons to already popular and trusted games,  often just by adding the word FREE, like Angry Birds FREE to dupe use
