Sony has announced the launch of its latest Android smartphone - the new Xperia ZR - a phone that allows you to shoot full HD videos underwater. This one of a kind waterproof and dust resistant smartphone is IP55 and IP58 compliant, meaning you can keep it submerged under 1.5 meters of fresh water for up to 30 minutes.
The Xperia ZR features a super-sharp 4.6” HD Reality Display powered by Mobile BRAVIA Engine 2 and comes equipped with a OptiContrast™ panel which "reduces reflections and provides clearer viewing,
even in bright sunlight, and creates a seamlessly black surface when the
phone is turned off."
Apart from being waterproof, the phone is equipped with a 13MP camera and features Sony’s “Exmor RS for Mobile” image sensor with HDR (High Dynamic Range) capabilities for both photos and videos - allowing you to capture sharp videos and images even in unfavourable conditions.
The ZR is equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon™ S4 Pro quad-core 1.5 GHz processor with 2GB RAM to take care of all your processing needs.
Available in four colour options - black, white, pink and mint, The Xperia ZR will launch in various global markets from Q2 2013.
