1. $2.6 million, the price for social.com makes it the most expensive domain sold in 2011.

2. 95.5 million is the number of registered .com domains as at the end of 2011.

3. .net comes second with 13.8 million registrations as at the end of 2011.

Internet users

1. There are 2.1 million users worldwide.

2. 45% is the share of internet users under the age of 25.

3. At 485 million, China has the most number of internet users.

2. 1 trillion is the number of video playbacks on YouTube. 

3. A 43% share of all worldwide video views were delivered by Google sites, incl. YouTube.

4. 4.5 million is the number of photos uploaded to Flickr each day.
