Post Wikipedia Blackout - The Impact In Numerical Terms

Here are a few interesting figures shared by Wikipedia post yesterday's blackout protest against the SOPA and PIPA bills :-

1. The Wikipedia blackout page received more than 162 million hits.

2. More than 8 million people looked up their elected representatives' contact information via the Wikipedia tool. 

3. The Wikimedia Foundation blog post announcing the blackout received comments from more than 12000 people.

Judging by the numbers, all we can say is that the impact of the blackout has  been HUGE!
