Why All iPhone Ads Show The Device Time As 9:42 AM

Have you ever wondered why all iPhone ads show the device time as 9:42 AM.

Well, as per former Apple exec Bob Borcher, it was 9.42 AM when apple first launched the iPhone and hence almost all iPhone commercials show the device time set as 9:42 AM. (Source : Business Insider )

Note my use of the word almost, because as seen in the advertisement below, the device time is set to 9:41 AM. In fact almost all iPhone 4S pictures show the time as 9:41AM
