Actions Speak Louder Than Words: The Rise Of Video Marketing

There are many ways to market your product - from billboards, to print advertising, to product placement. Each of these mediums can have varying degree of success but without a shred of doubt, the fastest growing marketing medium today is video advertising.

Thanks to improvements in web-development and internet speeds, it’s now possible for websites to host videos and for viewers to watch them with very little fuss. In terms of getting your message across to possible consumers it’s an invaluable tool and one you really can’t afford to ignore.

Reasons for success

Video marketing is successful for two reasons. Firstly, moving visuals / images are better at conveying information than text, stills or even audio (think about the popularity of TV over books and magazines). Then you have the fact that you can combine video marketing with other forms – for example text and audio – to make the package complete.

Secondly, the vastly improved internet speeds made possible by broadband means videos can now be viewed very easily. Can you remember the time when standard internet speed was around 14.4 kbps? Now it’s hundreds of times that and growing all the time and, with computing power doubling virtually every 18 months, just think of what the future holds for us.

Stats don’t lie

One of the other main reasons why you have to get on board with video marketing is because everybody else is doing it. A recent study by the Web Video Marketing Council and Flimp Media showed that 81% of businesses said that they used video content in their online marketing campaigns.

67% of these used video contents on their own sites while a further 61% posted them to social media sites. With 88% of all those who use video marketing saying it had a positive impact, the results are fairly conclusive.

In terms of barriers to using video marketing, 41% said that availability of video assets was stopping them from entering the field. Another 25% said that the difficulties of implementation stopped them from pursuing online video marketing.

Turn to the professionals

One thing about video marketing is fairly obvious: not everyone can do it well. That’s why it’s always a good idea to get some help from the professionals.

Owing to the huge increase in video marketing, you won’t be surprised to know that there are plenty of companies out there who can help you realise your strategy and campaign. Using a web video production company will ensure you get the very best video campaign and won’t leave anything to chance.

If you’ve seen any bad online video advertising you’ll know just how off-putting it can be. Thanks to companies like Web Video Production you too can now be a part of the biggest thing to happen in marketing in a generation.
