LinkedIn has 14 Million Users In India

LinkedIn, the world's most popular professional networking site has about 14 Million registered users in India, making it the site's second-largest market globally. Only the United States has more registered LinkedIn users than India.

LinkedIn has seen phenomenal growth in India over the past few years and its user-base has reportedly grown 300% during the last 3 years. Launched in the year 2003, LinkedIn currently has about 150 Million registered users worldwide.

Jeff Weiner, LinkedIn's chief executive, while addressing a conference in Mumbai said that,"LinkedIn connects talent with opportunity at a massive scale. Ultimately, our vision is to create an economic opportunity for every professional" He also claimed that, "the Indian market has shown a real propensity for social connectivity," and expects the company to grow further and strengthen its presence in India across both the web and the mobile platforms.
