Unveiled: Huawei Ascend D quad XL With A 1.5 Ghz Processor

Not all Smartphones are created equal. While some like the iPhone are destined to succeed others are often made to bite the dust. With companies trying to out-perform each other, the bar is constantly being raised and we are treated with one innovative product after another. 

Enter the new dragon in Smartphone computing - The Ascend D quad XL from Huawei which features an astounding 1.5 GHz quad-core processor; claimed to be the fastest in the world.

The device has a 4.5 inch display with a pixel density of 326 ppi  and come equipped with a 8 MP camera capable of full HD (1080p) video capture at 30fps. It also has a 1.3 MP secondary camera which is now a standard with most smartphone devices.

The Ascend D quad XL runs on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich and is equipped with 1 GB RAM.

Though the phone is a little too heavy at 150 g and its plastic finish not exactly high-end, the device certainly outscores every other device on the market in terms of its processing capabilities. It might be interesting for you to note that the Galaxy S III which will be released later this month will feature a 1.4 GHz quad-core processor.

An impressive device overall, the Ascend D quad will certainly grab a few eye-balls once it releases in a month or two
