How To Delete Your Twitter Account - An Illustrated Guide

This post features an illustrative guide on how you can delete your twitter account in 3 easy steps.

Step 1: Log into your Twitter account.

Step 2. On the right hand corner of the top navigation bar, you will find a "Settings and Help" icon. Click on the same.


Step 3. On the small box that shows up, click on the "Settings" tab. You will be directed to your "Account" Page. 


Step 4: Scroll to the bottom of your account page. There you will find a "Deactivate my Account" option. Click on the same and then confirm the deactivation on the page that opens. Your account will get deactivated and your data will stop appearing on Twitter.


Note that you can re-activate your account within 30 days of its deactivation. Post the expiry of the said period, your account and all your data will get permanently deleted.
